Palden Tobgye Thinley is an accomplished executive leader with over 15 years of experience steering high-impact organizations in Bhutan’s hospitality, tourism, trade, and technology sectors. Currently serving as President of the Druk International Group of Companies, he oversees a diverse portfolio, including tourism, agriculture (CP Foods), and international trade, while driving strategic initiatives aligned with Bhutan’s economic development. His notable achievements include founding Druk International Tobacco in 2020 and expanding Bhutan’s global export footprint through cross-border partnerships. Earlier roles include revitalizing Shora Bhutan Hospitality as CEO, where he boosted occupancy rates by 25%, and leading IT infrastructure projects as Regional Executive Director at Infinity Infotech Parks. A graduate of Mahidol University (BA in Social Sciences, French minor) and Woodstock School, Palden combines multilingual proficiency (English, French, Dzongkha) with expertise in stakeholder engagement and sustainable business practices. He remains dedicated to fostering collaborations that align with Bhutan’s cultural and economic values on a global scale.
